by serving on a State ABC committee that is acting to influence the construction industry in Michigan. If you are interested in the influence our state legislature has on your job and your industry, the government affairs committee is a good volunteering opportunity for you.
The Government Affairs Committee will work to advance and defend the legislative and political priorities of Associated Builders and Contractors of Michigan. Already this year ABC of Michigan has seen legislative victories in passing into law an amendment to the MBT that would keep contractors from being double taxed on materials and supplies purchased for their jobs.

The Government Affairs Committee meets 4-6 times per year. Call-in options are available for most meetings. The remaining meetings scheduled for 2008 are:
