What Can I Do about PLAs?
Don't let PLAs harm projects in your area. Here are ways you can make a difference:
Be Alert for possible back-room deals. Politicians sign these schemes with pressure from big labor bosses and neither want the public to know. Contact ABC of Michigan. if you know of one.
Contact your local newspaper -The more the public knows about these schemes the better the chance of preventing them.
Contact your Elected Representatives -Whether they are local city council members, your County Commissioner, or state-wide elected officials, let them know what is happening. Contact your officials now
Support the publications of PLA Watch - If you want to contribute financially to support free enterprise & would like literature for distribution, send checks to:
ABC MI Corporate Action Fund
120 N. Washington Sq., Ste. 805
Lansing, MI 48933
Contact the Owner -Sometimes they are intimidated by big union bosses who don't even live in your area or pay taxes to build the project. Let the owner know you are a taxpayer who cares.
