ABC of Michigan is a statewide trade association representing the commercial and industrial construction industries.

Dedicated to open competition, equal opportunity and accountability in construction, ABC members develop people, win work and deliver that work safely, ethically, profitably and for the betterment of the communities in which ABC and its members work.

Membership is available to all businesses in the construction industry that believe in the Merit Shop philosophy. The Merit Shop philosophy is based on the belief that every company has the right to bid and be awarded contracts based solely upon the merit of their work, and NOT on their affiliation with labor organizations.

ABC supports fair and open competition, free enterprise, freedom of choice for workers concerning union membership and training programs, balanced budgets, a fair taxation structure, and reasonable regulation. Learn more about how we advocate on behalf of the construction industry in front of legislators and regulatory agencies.

Associated Builders and Contractors of Michigan is supported by three local chapters: Greater Michigan, Southeastern Michigan and Western Michigan. Companies who are interested in membership join ABC through these local chapters.

When you join your local chapter a portion of your total dues goes to both the state and national organizations. As an ABC member you will not only belong to your local chapter, but you will be a part of the nearly one thousand Michigan members and the twenty-four thousand contractors and suppliers that belong to Associated Builders and Contractors nationally.
